PDF Proofreading
I proofread transcripts in PDF format using annotation software, a practice many court reporters prefer. A major advantage of PDF proofing is its compatibility with any stenography or court reporting software. Once you export your transcript as a PDF, it’s ready to be proofed. Corrections are marked with red annotations and yellow highlights for easy review. Unless otherwise requested, I’ll return only the annotated pages, allowing you to review and implement individual changes while maintaining full control over your final transcript. Please note: Errata sheets are not included with proofreading services.

Weekends and holidays are included in turnaround time.

The turnaround time "clock" begins upon confirmation that your transcript has been received.

For first-time clients, invoices are sent upon completion of the proofreading job, with payment due within 10 days. Payment must be received before additional jobs can be accepted.

Returning clients may choose between immediate invoicing or semi-monthly billing on the 1st and 15th of each month.

A late fee of 10% will be applied to invoices that are overdue by more than 3 days.

No new jobs will be accepted if an invoice is more than 30 days overdue.

For jobs larger than 150 pages, it's helpful to send the transcript in 50 page sections, especially if you're still scoping. This allows us to work more efficiently.
